Forest School Sessions
Our Roosters and older Hens children enjoy Forest School sessions every week, giving them the opportunity to explore, learn and develop in the great outdoors.
Forest School provides children with hands-on experiences in nature, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, creativity and independence. Whether they are building dens, exploring natural materials, discovering wildlife or taking part in nature-based activities, children are given the freedom to learn through exploration and play.
Recently, our children have enjoyed learning new practical skills, including sawing their own wood, creating a campfire to roast marshmallows and even making a tree swing. These exciting experiences help to build confidence, resilience and a sense of achievement while encouraging children to work together and take managed risks in a safe environment.
To make the sessions even more special, every Forest School ends with a warm hot chocolate and a biscuit, giving the children time to relax, reflect on their adventures and enjoy being outdoors together.
