A Quacking Day : Animal Visits

We recently had some very special visitors at Hailes Barn when one of our wonderful parents kindly brought in three little ducklings for the children to meet.

The children absolutely loved spending the day with them, carefully watching, holding, and learning all about these fluffy new friends. Our preschool children enjoyed finding out about the life cycle of a duckling, what they eat, how they grow and how to care for them.

The excitement didn't stop with the children! At pick-up time, many parents were eager to come in and say hello to the ducklings too, making it a lovely experience for our whole nursery community.

Experiences like this help children develop a love and respect for animals while bringing learning to life through hands-on experiences. The ducklings certainly captured everyone's hearts, and judging by the excitement they created, we don't think it will be long before Hailes Barn has some resident ducks of its very own!
